This page covers the Olly website and its waitlist. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell it.

The short version
- What: your email address, if you join the waitlist.
- Why: to welcome you to the waitlist, and to email you when Olly launches.
- Never: sold, rented or shared for advertising.
- Removal: use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails, or email [email protected], and we delete it.
Who we are
Olly is a meal-planning app. The website at getolly.app is run by Thato Maselela, trading as Olly. If you have a question about this page or your data, email [email protected].
What we collect
When you join the waitlist we store:
- your email address,
- which sign-up form you used (the top or the bottom of the page), and
- the date and time you signed up.
That’s all. We don’t ask for your name, and we don’t store your IP address with your sign-up.
If you email us, we’ll have your message and email address, and we’ll use them to reply.
What we don’t do
- No advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics tools on this site.
- No selling, renting or sharing your email for anyone else’s marketing.
- No adding you to newsletters you didn’t ask for.
How we use your email
When you join, we send you one welcome email to confirm you’re on the list. After that, we’ll email you when Olly launches. If we ever want to send anything else, like a chance to try Olly early, we’ll only do it if it’s about the launch you signed up for, and every email will have a way to unsubscribe.
Our legal basis for this (under EU and UK data protection law) is your consent: you gave us your email to hear about the launch. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Where it’s stored and who helps us
Waitlist sign-ups are stored in a database run by Cloudflare, which also hosts this website and forwards our email. The database is located in Western Europe. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
We send our emails through Resend, an email delivery service, which receives your address only to send them; see Resend’s privacy policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until we’ve sent the launch email. We then delete the waitlist within six months of launch. If you’d like it gone sooner, just ask.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it, or
- stop emailing you (the unsubscribe link in our emails does this straight away).
Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with and we’ll do it within 30 days, usually much sooner. If you’re in the EU or UK and unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The waitlist is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
When the Olly app launches we’ll update this page to cover the app too. If anything changes in a way that affects you, we’ll update the date above and, for anything significant, tell you by email.
